Dear Parents and Students,
I would like to take the time to welcome you to the 5th Grade. I am excited to have your child in my classroom and feel positive that we will have an outstanding year. As an educator, it is my goal to assist your child in becoming successful academically and socially. I strongly believe that every child is capable of learning, and this “I can” attitude will be instilled in your child from the moment he or she walks through the door.
Every child learns at different rates and has individual needs. It is my responsibility as an educator to discover each child’s needs and style of learning and then to deliver appropriate instruction to meet their needs. I have high expectations for the students in my classroom. It is extremely important for the adults in a child’s life to believe that their children can accomplish great things. If we believe in our kids, then they will believe in themselves.
We all have the same goals, which are for our children to love learning, feel good about themselves, and to be successful in the classroom. Together, we can provide this for our children.
I am a strong believer in communication between home and school. I am always open to hear your questions or concerns and will help in any way I can to make this a positive year for your child. If you have any questions at any time, please do not hesitate to contact me by email ([email protected]).
You can also visit our classroom web page through the Tarpey web site or directly from the link below. (http://Tarpeyspartans14.weebly.com)
Classroom donation is optional, but much appreciated! If you are unable to get all of the items that is all right, the most helpful item is the three ring binder. We will be getting organized with subject tabs and daily planners.
